"The UK has a legally binding commitment to become carbon net zero by 2050"

The deployment of large scale energy storage projects is critical to this commitment, at the same time as ensuring our electricity system remains affordable and reliable.
Talsie Energy has a mission which is geared to the development of grid-scale energy storage projects. Such projects are critical to the UK’s net zero climate by 2050 ambitions.

Battery storage assets are flexible and used to balance supply and demand on the electricity system. By storing electricity during times of high renewable generation and discharging at times of high demand, batteries ensure that supply is maintained in a clean and cost-effective manner whist at the same time increasing the utilisation of renewable power on the electricity system.
In evaluating the future of the Renewable Energy Sector, as well as having significant involvement with Anaerobic Digestion Plants, Talsie Energy has focused significant effort in progressing an interest in Battery Energy storage opportunities. To the extent that Talsie now has several hundred Mw's of Battery energy storage systems under development.
Amongst other benefits, Battery Energy Storage facilities require significantly less acreage than ground based solar parks and wind farms to enable development and in general, conventional battery storage can be easily concealed with hedging or fencing, making it less visible or intrusive to neighbouring areas.

Technology

Looking forward it is likely that innovative and flexible technology will play a key role in the efficiency and success of renewable energy developments.
In anticipation of the potential future needs of the business, Talsie Energy has taken a particular interest in the deployment and promotion of evolving technology and has actively sought out and secured new partnerships with International technology developers specifically working on “future power” technology programmes, across all renewable alternatives.

The outcome for Talsie Energy is immediate access to a unique bank of specialised, innovative creatives who between them offer a wide range of state of the art resources to call upon. This not only provides Talsie Energy with the advantage of access to the latest technology options for solar and battery projects, but also extends to the wider range of options within the Sector and which are planned to become available for release to support Solar, Wind Farm, Electric Vehicle and other associated opportunities during the course of 2022 and 2023.

Investment

In order to optimise it’s service portfolio, the Company recognises the importance of being able to access funding to support new developments and actively encourages joint venture relationships. To that end Talsie Energy is now working alongside an International Investment Group which has a wealth of expertise across many energy generating applications and a huge appetite for funding of “Green Energy” projects, which fully support Joint Venture activity.
